you also went on to say "but the fastest GTO from the factory had a 1/4 mile time of 13.6 seconds". as i stated before, you need not a single mod to reach 13 flat, as proven by lots of people at the track, which is why it is rated at 13 by gm, not 13.6.i dont know which planet you're on, but exhaust does not make cars "considerably faster" than others that had relatively close times in the first place.the gto failed not because it wasnt a good car, but because of the lack of marketing

these two cars are apples and oranges.i'd greedily take either. but not really comparable.kinda like comparing a stripper to a prostitute. both lostsa fun. kinda in the same line of work but not quite comparable.

You are right, the GTO in Australia was from HSV. Holden did not sell a GTO in Australia.

The Australian GTO is a HSV product. Holden never called any Monaro a GTO.
