Lighter is better, look at lotus! Why are all supercar manufacturers switching from metal to aluminium..YES, because a lighter car generally has better handling. Add 4wd to that and it wil get better also.. but i didn't say a lighter 2wd will always be better than a 4wd! Ofcourse they are not!But okay, i would like to see a match between them on a racing track, and not somewhere in the bush on the nortpole ;) I'm sure the cupra will offer some good competition!

As I said: you can put almost any engine you want on any chassis you want. With a little effort. About the 4WD. You can see his advantage at the start, despite the more tuned engine of the Ibiza.Lower weight = better handling? Are u sure? That's an advantage only at acceleration. Maybe you would like to say: better distribution of the masses. Be serious: what can an Cupra do against an STI on any kind of track? There u can see the real difference between a 2wd and a 4wd.

Don't forget the ibiza has only front wheel drive. the Subaru should have a BIG advantage, but it hasn't. Besides that..on the race track the ibiza wil handle much better also because it's weights less!
