I worked in motorsport at the time I wasn't there but a friend was servicing for another team in the service area before the accident and the car was leaking avgas into the rear and Toivonen was so affected by the fumes he got into Markku Alen's car during the service believing it was his car ,the stage after that service was when the car exploded before leaving the road ,Lancia cheat(avgas),they should never of been allowed to leave the service area with fuel leaking into the car.
